The time I met J Mascis

Once upon a time I saw DINOSAUR JR at the Blind Pig, Ann Arbor's finest dive bar. They played two shows, two nights in a row (I went to both, of course). This is when they were on tour in support of Beyond, their killer comeback album. It was also the first time I saw em live. I was stoked... BEYOND stoked. While waiting in line outside the club, I was standing next to a few of my friends and my dad, who was nice enough to drive me to the show (I was 16 at the time and didn't have my own wheels). So there we are just standing there when all of a sudden... J MASCIS walks right past us all. No one dared to say anything... except for my dad. My dad says "HEY J! My son and his friends love you!" Oh shit... of course my dad meant well but it was BEYOND embarrassing... a true face-to-palm moment. He looked back at us and went "Oh..." My dad then followed up with another remark, "Whatcha got in the bag there?" J was carrying a plastic takeout bag. "Uh, some Japanese food," he says. Awkward silence ensues... then my dad goes "Welp, see ya inside!" Looking back on it, its fucking hilarious, me n my friends still crack up about it. We then went inside and watched em tear the place apart. A great night, indeed!

Twin Peaks is a show that I have been meaning to watch for quite some time. The past few days, I have watched the entire first season. The verdict? Its an awesome show! Special Agent Dale Cooper is the man, and boy does he like his coffee!

Shine A Light

Well, my Wikipedia page is complete! I think it turned out pretty good. I actually enjoyed this project very much because I always wanted to know how to make a proper Wiki article. Plus it wasn't very labor intensive because I enjoy my topic and I already had a lot of prior knowledge on this topic. Check it out right here.

Sad day in Novi, MI

Just got word that one of my former classmates died in a car accident today. I didn't know him very well but I still feel an incredible amount of sadness. We had a few classes together and he was a very friendly and genuine guy. He will be greatly missed.

Embryonic!
